Topic 5: Problem Identification and PICOT / NSG 324: Research and Evidence-Based Practice
The PICOT question, based on the clinical problem or issue, is the foundation and starting point of EBP. Development of the PICOT question guides the evidence search and ultimately a change project. Learning how to develop the clinical question with the use of the PICOT question will assist the professional registered nurse in the integration of EBP into professional practice.
